When they get to the rental they realize that info was incorrect and there are only double beds so Aleksander and Alina have to share. 
• Sharing Clothes
  • One of them goes on a trip and they each keep an article of the other's clothing while they're apart (soft vibes similar to the Hedley song Sweater Song)
• Moving in Together
  • Modern AU with Alina in her 30s and Aleksander in his 40s and they both have all the things/furniture and have to decide how to consolidate their things (I'd prefer Aleksander not be super rich in this. Well off is fine) 
• Murder
  • They're both mystery novelists who now each other professionally and a murder is committed at a convention they're both attending. They team up to solve the murder. 
• Concealing Illness/Injury
  • It's their anniversary and Aleksander is sick/injured (not super serious) but hides it because he doesn't want to ruin the day. Alina realizes what's happening and bullies him into bed so that she can take care of him and they can cuddle.

  • Vampire!Aleksander and Werewolf!Alina lovers slice of life (similar vibes to the web comic Fangs by Sarah Anderson)
• Temporary Character Death
  • One of them dies in the arms of the other but because of magic (a la Beauty and the Beast or Tangled) they come back shortly after and it's a happy and tearful reunion

  • Honestly any filling in the gaps of LBs worldbuilding would be great

  • Alina and Aleksander are both ride or die kind of people but have never had anyone reciprocate that until they meet each other
